Having grown up as the son of a vet and the grandson of an avid horse racing enthusiast it was of little surprise that having graduated from Bristol University in 2006 Tristan looked to combine his veterinary degree with his love of horse racing. He was lucky enough to join Greenwood, Ellis & Partners soon after graduation as part of a 2 year racing internship position that involved working within the racing ‘arm’ of one of the thoroughbred industry’s powerhouses, both in the UK and Dubai. He then continued to work privately for that same organisation for a further 6 years, improving his skill set and gaining invaluable experience working with some of the world’s leading racehorse vets. Following a further 5 years servicing some of the larger and most respected training yards in Newmarket for another of the town’s large thoroughbred practices, Tristan finally moved back to NEH in the Autumn of 2019.
As expected, he is predominantly involved in the racing side of the practice and spends the majority of his time helping his trainers maximise and maintain the performance of their racing thoroughbreds by looking after all aspects of their veterinary needs.
Robert graduated from University College Dublin in 2015. He joined the NEH racing team in 2016 following a period of Thoroughbred and sporthorse practice in Northern Ireland at his family practice and stud. His main interest lies in orthopaedics, overground endoscopy and sales work. A keen eventer, he also enjoys a mix of sporthorse work.
Tim graduated from the university of Bristol in 2015. He then worked in general equine practice in Lancashire where he gained an interest in both thoroughbred reproduction as well as artificial insemination (AI). Following a season as resident vet on a large Queensland thoroughbred stud, Tim joined Equine Reproductive services (UK) in Malton, North Yorkshire for two seasons and furthered his interest in assisted equine reproductive techniques including embryo transfer. Tim has spent his UK “off-seasons” working for Hunter Equine Centre in Scone, New South Wales, Australia where he predominantly worked as stud vet for a large thoroughbred farm.
Tim is currently working towards a certificate in Advanced veterinary practice (Stud Medicine) which he aims to have completed in 2021.
